Hi! I’m Miguelle. I launched Shroder’s Playmates in the summer of 2017 to honor my beloved Kelpie of nearly 16 years, Shroder Anne. My goal was simple – take superb care of pets, their people, and their homes.

With thousands of services under our belt, we are proud to offer pet parents the extra pair of loving hands they need to ensure their family member’s happiness, security, and welfare during extended work hours, travel periods, or hectic schedules.

I’ve been there. As Shroder’s mommy, I remember feeling super guilty because my job was 50 miles each way and she had to be alone at least 10 hours a day. As a cattle dog – a “working” breed – this was not easy for her or me as both her mental and physical needs were not being met. This sometimes manifested in behavioral challenges like chewed-up furniture/garments/gadgets.

And, frankly, after being in L.A. traffic for over an hour, I would often be less than enthusiastic about walks and playtime once I finally made it home. If only I’d had someone I could trust to care for her while I was away.

Upon her passing in September 2015, I began my journey towards becoming that much-needed help for other pet parents. Thus, I became certified through both Pet Sitters International and DogTec between fall 2016 and spring 2017. The rest, as they say, is history!
